New quilt finished

Back again. Here is the quilt I mentioned in my last post.

The panel, top centre, was stitched by Chef-Tiger.

The back ground is a very dainty white on pink floral accent trimmed with a plain deep burguny

Now to get the address from Quilts for Breast Cancer and send it off to the recipient.

Next project is to finsh the EMS Babies (fundraiser quilt) for Angel Quilt Project Canada Divsion. Mmm should have taken a picture of it at this stage. Oh well next time.

Has anyone checked in to Chef-Tigers blog to see what she's up too.

She's having a contest to give away one of her new model sets. Why not join the fun and perhaps win yourself a lovely box, biscornu, needlecase and scissor fob from her new designs.

Damien's quilt, and The Needle Work Show

Well I've finally made it back again. Damien's quilt is finish. Here it is hanging on the clothesline with the last of the snow showing around it.
Daddy is thrill with it but more important, Damien loves it.
My next project is a lap quilt for a lady in Ontario who is suffering with breast Cancer.
The 9 cross-stitched panels that are to be in this quilt were stitched by members of 'Quilts for Breast Cancer" and have been sent in from: USA, Canada and the UK. Now my job is to find the right fabric for it, her choice is Burgundy, pink and gold, so my next stop is my stash to see what I have that will suit.
Now that 'The Needlwork Show " is over for this spring, it's time for Chef Tiger to upload all the new charts to the website, then at the end of May we will have all the contestants pictures, and time for all our friends to start voting for their favorite stitcher, so we can give the prizes to the winners.
Spring is here and it's time to get some outside work done, so I'll leave you now and put some of my house plants outside for some fresh air and water.
Yours in Bright Patches,
Dodiemom.

I'll figure this out yet

(Lots of new designs for The Needlework Show.) Then there's all the family problems, well they seem to be straightening out now, so back to the blogg.
Damiens quilt is almost finished, got a couple of cushions done using cross-stitch models, but they will be shown at The Needlework Show in April.
Next is finishing my new bedroom set and trying to enlarge my Grandsons jeans, new since Christmas and he's already shot up out of them.

Oh oh gotta gotta get going have to take Mom to the hospital for blood tests.I'll try to get back quicker next time, so much to do, so little time to do it in.

Serenity's quilt

Ok! now try this again.

Here is Serenity's quilt. Now to wait for her Mom to send a snail mail address so I can mail it to her.

For those who don't know, I generally make a quilt for each new addition to the family. Serenity is the newest member and the fifth Great-grandchild.

Alright, I don't usually make a wallhanging to go with the quilts but these two panels are a matched set, so they have to go together.

Since I no longer do cross-stitching, Lorrie aka Chef-Tiger does the stitching and I just make the quilts,--- and wallhangings.

Damiens "Cars" quilt

Here are the first 2 pictures of Damiens quilt in progress.

All New for a New Year

Hi Folks,

Well I hope this will solve the problems. We have been unable to make contact with my blog for some time, so it has been decided to just scrap it and start a new one.

Christmas is over and a new year has started with a bang.

My oldest daughter, Tina, has been offer, and accepted a new job, which is especially good as she was very unhappy with the old one.

My second daughter, Lorrie, aka Chef-Tiger, has stuffed us all with her many wonderful treats ( Now to try to get the weight off again) and as usual is making us all dizzy with all the things she is doing. You can check on her activities at her blog.

My son is making plans to move back to New Brunswick in the summer.

My sister scared us the other day by having a mini stroke. She's doing fine and has come out of it fine.

Mom at 91 years old is still doing fine as she continues to live at her home on her own, just up the hill from me so I can keep an eye on her.

I've started a new quilt for me fourth Great-grandchild, a 2 year old boy named Damien. I'll try to post pictures as it progresses.
